Workshop on Interaction Design in Educational Environments
ICEIS 2013 Workshop

SCOPE

During the last few years, new devices have been invading the pacific waters of educational environments. Different kind of tablets, laptops, whiteboards, mobile devices and other exciting computer systems have been introduced in classrooms together with the recurrent claim for which they help to improve the learning process in.

This workshop invites authors to submit contributions on concepts Distributed interaction Design Discussion, applications, techniques or environments where interaction design play a central role by improving the learning process at all levels.

• Paper Submission: April 9, 2013 April 23, 2013
• Authors Notification: April 30, 2013
• Final Paper Submission and Registration: May 13, 2013
• Conference Date: July 5, 2013

PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers submitted to Workshop can be accepted in one of the following three categories:

• Full Papers: Papers allocated 30 minutes for oral presentation (including discussion). These papers are assigned a 10-page limit in the conference proceedings.
• Short Papers: Papers allocated 20 minutes for oral presentation (including discussion). These papers are assigned a 6-page limit in the conference proceedings.
• Posters: Papers presented as poster are assigned a 4-page limit in the conference proceedings.

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above. Instructions for preparing the manuscript (in Word and Latex formats) are available at: Paper Templates. Please also check the Submission Guidelines. Papers should be submitted electronically via the web-based submission system at: http://www.insticc.org/Primoris

Acceptance notifications will be sent out on April 30, 2013. The workshop will be held on July 4, 2013 in Wroclaw, Poland. Please note that at least one author of an accepted position paper must register for the workshop and for one or more days of the ICEIS 2013 conference. Papers should be formatted according to ICEIS 2013 Archive Format (http://www.iceis.org/GuidelinesTemplates.aspx).

PUBLICATIONS

All accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support - and submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP and EI (Elsevier Index).

All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/)

Extended versions of accepted papers will appear in as a Springer book chapter.

High quality papers will be invited to submit an extended version for inclusion in a special issue of an (ISI) International Journal, according to the paper topic:

• Instructional Science. Impact factor: 1.828 - Q1


• International Journal of Computer Science Issues (IJCSI). Impact factor 0.242 - Q4

Other papers from the workshop will be invited to submit an extended version to be considered for publication in the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (ijCSCL). Impact factor: 2.243 - Q1.
